Industrial/Commercial Centers
Several commercial and industrial centers serve the needs of Pico Rivera residents and workers. Restaurants, banks and various stores offering anywhere from clothes to jewelry may be found in strategic locations in the City.
The Pico Rivera Plaza and Crossroads Plaza, located along Whittier Boulevard, are two of the biggest existing commercial centers in the City. Pico Rivera Plaza will soon be home to Target, a leading retailer; Home Depot at Crossroads Plaza supplies residents and neighboring communities their home improvement needs.
The departure of a large aerospace facility provided the opportunity to respond to the City's growing need for industrial and commercial space. The master plan for the 200 acres resulted in three major developments: a 40-acre industrial park, a 60-acre commercial/retail center and a 100-acre business park.
The Pico Rivera Business Center is a master planned business park with four state-of-the-art buildings. It is home to light manufacturing, warehousing and distribution facilities of nationally-known businesses Pacific Coast Feather Company and Boise Cascade.
North of the Pico Rivera Business Center is the Pico Rivera Commerce Center. Currently under construction, the 100-acre development consists of 10 master planned buildings ranging in size from 51,000 sq.ft. to 371,000 sq.ft. These state-of-the-art facilities are suitable for light industrial, manufacturing, warehousing and transportation.
The Pico Rivera Towne Center, located on the southwest corner of Washington and Rosemead Boulevards, is a 630,000 square foot, open-air shopping center. Major tenants are Wal-Mart, Lowe's Home Improvement, Staples and Starbucks, to name a few.
Located on Paramount Boulevard and Loch Lomond Street is the Pico Rivera Industrial Center. It is comprised of four buildings ranging in size from 21,000 sq.ft. to 47,000 sq.ft. These buildings feature build-to-suit office space, sprinkler systems, dock high doors, wide bay spaces and ample parking.
A stone’s throw away, on Whittier and Paramount Boulevards, Krikorian Premier Theaters is scheduled to build a $22 million, 131,000-square-foot shopping center which will include a 16-screen cinema. The shopping center will feature sit down, family-oriented restaurants and retail stores.
Adjacent to Krikorian Premier Theaters is Pacific Gateway Business Park. Two divisible buildings comprise this master planned development in 26 acres. The buildings feature 30' minimum interior ceilings, early suppression/fast response (ESFR) overhead sprinkler systems, attractive office spaces, docking facilities and ample parking spaces.
